Our History
Heritage Funeral Service has been serving the communities of Torfaen and surrounding counties since 2012. Having opened our first office in Blaenavon, Funeral Director Craig Brown along with his business partner Judith Powell have dedicated the business to supporting our families and their loved ones.
During 2014, the business acquired Park Street Methodist Church which was to become our private chapel of rest in Blaenavon.
Ever since this has been a place of great comfort for the families we serve and the community as a whole. Families have been able to spend time with their loved one in the setting of a traditional chapel which also means we have been able to offer the chapel as a service venue for funerals and memorial services.
In 2023, the doors to our newest premises was open to the public. The Funeral Home in Varteg (formerly owned by Brian M Watkins Funeral Directors) has become an additional option for our families that wish to spend time with their loved one in a more intimate setting. The funeral home also has full disabled access, allowing everyone their time at our facilities.
