A funeral plan is simply a way of making provision today for a funeral to take place at some point in the future. Planning your own funeral can be as detailed as you would like or it can just be focused on the basics such as the number of limousines, style of coffin or location of the ceremony.
Putting a funeral plan in place means that there will always be some financial provision towards the funeral costs when the time sadly comes.
Our funeral plans always guarantee to cover the costs of our funeral director’s service as detailed in the plan. No matter how much our prices rise, our fees will remain the at the price stated when the plan was purchased.
What is a funeral plan?
How can I pay for my funeral plan?
A funeral plan allows you to pay for your funeral in advance – either in a lump sum or in monthly instalments. Your funeral wishes are clearly documented, and the funeral directors charges within the plan costs remain at today’s prices.
Can I change my funeral plan arrangements?
Will my plan cover the entire costs of my funeral?
Yes, you can make changes to your plan after you have taken it out. There may however be an additional cost if you has new services or products to your plan.
The plan is guaranteed to cover the funeral directors costs as detailed in the funeral plan.
There is a contribution within the plan that will go towards any third party costs such as the fees for the crematorium or cemetery. These costs are outside of our control and it is likely that these costs will rise. If these costs rise then there may be a balance to pay at the time of carrying out the funeral.
What happens if I move out of the area?
Can I cancel my plan?
Because Perfect Choice works with funeral directors throughout the UK, you should be able to transfer your funeral plan to a funeral director near your new home. Please bear in mind that funeral costs may vary in other areas of the country.
You can cancel your plan at anytime.
If you choose to cancel your plan within 30 days of purchasing it, you will receive a full refund. Outside of the 30 day cancellation period you will forfeit the management fee (£225.00).
